Illumina BeadStation 500 system is a complete benchtop solution for genetic analysis that enables a wide range of sample throughput and multiple applications. With its industry-leading call rate and accuracy, Illumina played an important role in the International HapMap project.
The system is compatible with multiple technologies such as Illumina GoldenGate genotyping (linkage and fine mapping standard content panels and custom panels of 96, 384, 768, or 1,536 SNPs.) or Infinium whole-genome genotyping (Infinium HumanHap100, 300, 550, etc. and custom panels with bead types from 7,600 to 60,800 in a 12-sample BeadChip format).
